We’re Entering the Era of “I Don’t Owe You Access”

Accessibility used to be praised.

Now it’s being questioned.

People are realizing that constant access doesn’t equal connection — it often equals exhaustion.

The shift happening right now isn’t antisocial.

It’s self-respect becoming normalized.

Not everyone needs:

  • Immediate responses

  • Emotional availability on demand

  • Full transparency into your process

  • Access to your energy whenever they want it

Privacy is no longer secrecy.

It’s boundary literacy.

And the people who struggle with that change are often the ones who benefited most from your lack of boundaries.

Call to Action:

  • Who had the most access to you when you were the least protected?

  • What boundary are you scared to set because of how someone might react?

  • Are you calling people “distant” — or are they just no longer overgiving?

If this hit, say why.
